In that role, Mr. Logan is leading the company’s efforts to create a new standard for the automatic identification of plastics, through a form of technology described generically as digital watermarking. By giving each plastic object its own unique identity that can be discovered by scanning equipment in a recycling facility, the industry will seek to achieve increased quality and quantity of yields of recyclates to meet the sustainability targets of manufacturers, dual systems, and facility operators, and government agencies. In his previous career in Hollywood, he is the recipient of over 75 Gold and Platinum records in entertainment industry marketing campaigns.

Rob’s professional career has focused on the intersection of software and business model innovation with Circular Economy and Smart City challenges. He is Director of Industry Development and Strategic Partnerships at AMP Robotics. In this role he develops and maintains AMP’s position as the global leader in providing AI-powered automation to improve our recycling systems both economically and sustainably. This involves collaboration across resource recovery industries to increase material supply, grow access to recycling, modernize recycling infrastructure, and develop market demand for secondary materials.

Before joining AMP Robotics in 2016, he was a Product Manager at Intrado (acquired by West), and his teams commercialized the core location technology for mobile 9-1-1. He also served in a Partnership Development role at the US Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory collaborating with startups and small businesses developing bioenergy, grid, and built environment technologies. At Innosphere Ventures he directed the incubation and early-stage financings for cleantech startups in the firm’s portfolio.
